I love Christian music. It's very deep (the good songs anyway) and I admire
these musicians who devote their talents to just praise God, knowing that
they're less likely to make as much money or to attend freak offs with
    Obama and Diddy.

You won't meet many believers here. Mostly atheists who think atheism is not a religion. And contradict themselves in a religion forum. Something wrong with that.

I'm a believer, and listen to Christian music (mostly older stuff from the 90s/00s).

I'm also staunchly anti-Trump, and I grieve for what he has done and is doing to our country and to the church.

The church Paul wrote of is hard to find today. The Bible says Jesus avoided political distractions. Good example to follow.

I'm happy to hear that you listen to Christian music. I'm into it too, a lot. But I like a lot of the newer stuff.

But anti-Trump? How? Biden let more than 3000 people die along the US-Mexico border which seems very anti-Christian to me. Trump put an end to it. What's he done to your church? My church seems happier than ever.

    Jimmy,

Which is why I don't like to use the word religion as it
applies to Christianity. Religion is a belief system - a set of
rules - a doctrine to follow. Christianity is the following of
    Jesus the Christ - period.

Christianity is NOT a religion...it's a relationship with Jesus
    Christ.

Other "religions" require all these "works" to "please the deity",
and yet you never know if "it's good enough". God's Standard Is Perfection....totally, moral, and otherwise. If you've broken His
Law just once in motive, thought, word, or deed, you've broken all
of it. In short, no one on Earth can pay.

The One Individual who walked on Earth without a single sin was
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, God In The Flesh. He didn't have to
leave the Glory Of Heaven to come to Earth, to be born of a Virgin,
then be humiliated, scourged, and crucified as common criminal...
but as Romans 5:8 notes "God commanded His Love toward us, in that
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". He sealed the
victory over death and sin with His Resurrection, and defeated
Satan's kingdom. It notes in Scripture that "If the powers of
darkness had known Christ was going to rise from the dead, they
never would have crucified The Lord Of Glory".

Several years ago when I was working in silkscreen printing, we
did a one color T-shirt, black on gray...with a graphic of The
Crucifixion. Above it, were the words "Thank You, Jesus!!", and
below it, Romans 5:8, as noted above.

One of the over 1000 poems that The Lord has given me, notes
"the words are so inadequate", just to tell The Lord "Thank You".
It's like the story of the 10 lepers that Christ cleansed...9 of
the 10 didn't even thank him.

    Yes...

Been rewatching the Chosen too - love the cleansing of the Leper
    scene!
